The ARA’s mission is to reduce alcohol-related harm through combating the misuse and abuse of alcohol beverages and promoting only their responsible use.
Sensible Drinking Project
This pilot project was launched in June 2002. The aim of the project was to examine ways in which to encourage those who consume alcohol, to do so in a responsible manner to avoid hurting themselves and other.
The project was to address the problem of excessive alcohol consumption through a multi-faceted community-based harm reduction intervention aimed at responsible drinking in identified communities.
The ARA funded the Brief Intervention Training for clinical and non-clinical participants.
